In 2016 & 2017 I self published two zines of my writing, subtitled Stories of A Rose City Stripper. I had the privilege of inviting industry friends to participate in a public reading for a live audience, and I felt that it went well. In 2018 my work was published as part of Nasty! Anthology by Kingshot Press. I did several reading events as part of the release, including one at the famous Powells City of Books in Portland Oregon.
A series of life events led to a falling out of sorts with writing, and for the past few years I’ve felt it’s absence pulling at my fingers, drawing me back to the practice of typing my thoughts. I’ve missed it. In an effort to recalibrate my craft, I’ve joined this platform not only to share my writing again, but to hold myself accountable. Healing and writing are congruent for me, one cannot happen fully without the other. Several friends have encouraged me to start writing again, and I’ve finally given in.
This is where you will find my unpublished work, my works in progress, my random thoughts. It’s my intention to share audio clips, images and my stories of 17+ years as a club stripper and a burlesque artist. There is the opportunity to sponsor my work with a singular “cup of coffee” or a longer term impactful membership. Some posts will be public, some will be for sponsors only.
