Fellow art lovers, I have FREE ZINES for you!
A few Grief Carnivals ago, I put together this collaborative zine of grief tattoos and inspiration gathered from my community. The zine lives on the carnival grounds in the tattoo parlour and the zine library, but I wanted to make it available outside the carnival, too. Download it for free from my shop!
Speaking of collaborative art projects...
Last Call for Community Art Submissions 📣
If you’ve been thinking, “I should submit something…” this is your sign to stop overthinking and gather your three pieces.
Or if this is the first time you're hearing about this... I mean, idk how because I won't shut up about it, but this is still your sign to gather your three pieces!
I’m looking for artwork that represents your:
Beginning: something you made a long time ago
Middle: a piece from somewhere along the way
Now: something recent
Your work does not need to be polished, perfectly photographed, or part of one cohesive style. The point is the journey: what changed, what stayed, and what becomes visible when you place those moments beside each other.
Selected pieces will be featured in a collaborative zine and celebrated as part of the Community Art Show. Artists keep full ownership of their work, and proceeds from the zine’s first 30 days will be split equally among contributors.
📅 The deadline was last night, September 30, at 11:59 PM Central... but I drafted this post yesterday and never hit send apparently, so if you're just now seeing this and want to submit, please do! Extensions always welcome here ('cause I sure need 'em) 🫶
