I'm Kashan, a software engineer from the Hunza valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Glacial lake outburst floods, landslides and flash floods hit my region almost every year, washing away roads, bridges, homes and businesses. Yet there is still no reliable public record of these disasters.

I'm building Yakhnama ("chronicle of the ice"), a free, open-source platform where communities record hazards as they happen. Every report is verified and linked to its source. The goal is a trustworthy dataset that can power an early-warning system for mountain communities.
