I come from a humble, hardworking middle-class family where dreams were never handed to us, we learned to work for them.
For as long as I can remember, my dreams have always been bigger than my circumstances. One of the biggest is mountaineering: to stand among the great mountains of this world, not simply to say that I reached their summits, but to understand them, protect them, and tell their stories.
Right now, I am an international student trying to build my life while managing studies, work, responsibilities, and the financial reality that comes with pursuing a dream as demanding as mountaineering. Expeditions, training, equipment and travel are expensive, and sometimes the distance between where I am and where I dream of being feels enormous.
But I don't want that difficulty to be the reason I stop.
The mountains have given me something that is difficult to put into words. They remind me how small we are, how beautiful this planet is, and how much responsibility we have to leave it better than we found it. At the same time, glaciers are retreating, landscapes are changing, and pollution is reaching places that once seemed untouched.
So I want my journey to become more than climbing mountains.
I want to advocate for cleaner mountains, responsible mountaineering and greater awareness of climate change and the loss of our glaciers. Wherever this journey takes me, I want to document it honestly, the preparation, failures, sacrifices, people, landscapes and eventually the summits through photography, films and YouTube.
My hope is to build a community around that journey. If my work eventually generates income, I want it to help fund future expeditions and allow me to keep creating stories that give something back to the mountains that inspire them.
Every contribution here is therefore more than support for an expedition. It is a small part of a much bigger dream; helping someone with ordinary beginnings chase extraordinary places, while trying to protect those places for the people who will come after us.
I don't know how far this road will take me.
But I know I want to spend my life finding out, one mountain, one story, and one step at a time.
