Prologue
Strong, sturdy, certain branches
Venturing boldly into spaces above
Tracing thunder with wavy might
That which is ground-bound dreams of flight
Elements. Space. Time
I am Air. Wide, playful and wild
With spirit bird at my side, we soar the skies
In my expansion, I hear the soft hum of Earth's cry
She's birthing something new, so to descend into form I try
I learn from my kin and plunge all the way down
Down with Water, into its fall
Sweet bubbling of our folding
Echoes as laughter into her below
When we quench our frolic
And ever so slightly slow down
The whispers of Soil come upon us
And we let ourselves discover what it means as mud to become one
When the waters settle, you can clearly tell
Ether reflecting
The light of the stars, the dark of the void
Upon and within all that is
There's a charge running through creation
As electricity strikes carbon and lights up Fire
Flickering beats of the flame warm the edges of the pond
And the descend furthens
Here
She forms the density of Clay
Now
Nature found her Way
Epilogue
Daughter:
Mommy, do we remember her way too?
Mother, picking the daughter up and swirling around with her:
Only in our bones.
Because, you see
To Nature
The Human that Dances
Is the Hewmus* that's free

*Hew: the rainbow body & humus: dirt
Note: Inspired by a meditation from the Killarney Meet-Up 2026.
