Riel is a personal AI assistant built by one developer.
Hi, I'm Junhee — a solo developer based in South Korea.
I build software the way I wish more software was built: by one person who uses it every day. Riel started as a tool for my own family — tracking a newborn's feeds, remembering context my brain couldn't hold, talking to an AI without juggling five apps. It grew into a public service when friends asked for access.
I write the backend (FastAPI + PostgreSQL), the frontend (Next.js), the infra (GCP), and the prompts. I also write the blog — engineering retrospectives on what breaks at 3 AM and how I fix it.
