🏰 Library Redecoration:
As we move forward, I'm excited to share that the last week of February marks the beginning of redecorating the library at Mapperton House. I am ordering paint colours next week! This space will serve as the enchanting backdrop for the American Heiress exhibition. Your generosity has not only provided the means for preservation but is also making the exhibition's home a true masterpiece. I can't wait to put my red boiler suit back on!
🎥 Exclusive Filming for Supporters:
For those who generously donated three or more cups, I plan to film your American Heiress exhibition tour at the end of April, just before the exhibition opens to the public. This will be my special way of saying thank you and bringing you closer to the magic you've helped create.
💌 Special Deliveries for 15 Cups and More:
To those who kindly contributed 15 cups or more, your special treats are on their way! The American Heiress postcards (5), 120-year-old beverage recipe postcards (7), and an exclusive Alberta bookmark will be sent out the first week of March and I'll be reaching out to you soon for your address details. I'm signing off on the proofs next week and placing the order for print – they're truly a work of art!
P.S. Exciting News about the Coronation Robe and Waistcoat:
In December 2023, many of you contributed towards the support for the Earl of Sandwich Coronation Robe and Waistcoat which has paved the way for an extraordinary opportunity. The donations will make a huge impact and good start to the conservation of these precious, historical garments. But having properly inspected the robe and waistcoat, more conservation is needed and therefore, The Royal School of Needlework who will be doing the work has proposed a bespoke embroidery class held at Mapperton in exchange for additional conservation work! I have a zoom with them this week. I am thrilled to say the least! This means that your generosity is not only preserving these cherished pieces but also creating a unique space for embroidery enthusiasts to learn and create.
