Acerca de Juan Carlos Velazquez PIANO
Creating music with my piano and my heart 🎹 ❤️
I'm Juan Carlos Velázquez. I spent my whole life working as a doctor. When I retired, I finally returned to my first love: the piano.
Today I record boleros and Latin classics in Bogotá, Colombia, with my son and a group of wonderful singers. A new session comes out on YouTube every week.
Studio time, musicians and production all cost money, and most of the ad revenue from these versions goes to the original songwriters. If this music gives you something, buying me a coffee helps the next session happen.
Thank you for listening.

I spent my whole life as a doctor. When I retired, I went back to the piano, and to the boleros I grew up with. Today I record them in a studio in Bogotá, with my son and a group of singers I admire deeply. Each session of Encuentros brings together a studio, musicians, a sound engineer and a small film crew. A full season of ten songs costs around $4,200 to record and film, roughly $420 per song...
