Guitar was my life; it was literally at the heart of everything I did. When I became a lecturer in music & music technology, I realised that teaching was my true calling. And then I became, as a dear friend so kindly puts it, "disabled as funk" (she uses the real word because she thinks she's cool) and the life I had built was ripped away from me overnight. We (my partner and I) spent years trying to find a way for me to keep active in both teaching & guitar, with little success. Until, one day, I decided to try my hand at modifying a guitar pedal, and the rest, as they say, is history

The goal of JSA Effects has always been to share as much knowledge & information as I can with anyone who asks; from beginners about to build their first pedals, to seasoned builders looking for suggestions, I happily share all I've learnt for free. Whilst there are now a couple of pedals I build regularly, which help fund the rest of the experiments, the vast majority of what I build is mostly to test a circuit/layout before sharing it with the world.

With the rising cost of.....well, everything.....I appreciate that buying a boutique guitar pedal isn't always in people's budgets, and so I've put together this 'buy me a coffee' as a way for people to help fund the experiments and knowledge sharing of JSA Effects. Don't get me wrong, even if no-one ever bought a pedal from me again, I would still continue to share all I know freely, but anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated

"Why not start a Patreon/Podcast/YouTube Channel/Discord/other way to monetize JSA Effects?" For the same reason I can't mass produce thousands of pedals; my health, and not knowing how I will be day to day, means I can't do anything to a schedule or with any regularity

If you can buy a pedal, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you can't afford to buy a pedal, I'd greatly appreciate anything you can give. If you can't afford to give anything, anything you can do to help - like, comment, share, subscribe, all the usual social media stuff to help appease the algorithm - would be greatly appreciated
