A proposito di Joyce Job
Poet, Writer, Traveler, Book Reviewer
Hi, I’m Joyce Job, writing online as Lirio Marchito.
I’m a former IT professional turned writer from Kerala, India. My pen name translates to "Wilted Lily" in Spanish, a homage to Pablo Neruda. Reading his poem "Tonight I Can Write the Saddest Lines" during my college days was the spark that turned me into a dedicated poet.
I write poetry, short stories, book reviews, and essays in both Malayalam and English. Deeply influenced by the evocative, nature-centric work of O.N.V. Kurup, much of my writing revolves around environmental awareness and solutions.
My debut poetry collection, The Blue Rabbit (published by Writers Workshop India, 2021), was featured in the Journal of Commonwealth Literature’s India Bibliography (2022).
When I’m not working on my second book, I’m on a personal mission to travel across India and document my journeys through stories and reflections.
