Beams of red, yellow and blue light

Following on from the posts, Why the blue costume? and Arbitrary blueness?, a further quotation from Maurice Nicoll regarding the colour blue is as follows:

Imagine the 3 Forces as beams of red, yellow and blue light: then say what the red beam falls on is 1st Force, what the yellow light falls on is 2nd Force, and so on. But the beams can shift and do so continually, so what is attractive becomes the reverse, and vice versa. It is not the thing or the event but the force it conducts for you at the moment that matters. Love makes us see a thing in one way: hate makes us see it in another way. It is the same thing, but it conducts different forces at different times. This, you may have noticed, is confusing and a great nuisance as long as we live solely under the law of the pendulum.

Maurice Nicoll - Psychological Commentaries on the Teaching of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, Vol.II, p.541-2

There could be an implication that the unmentioned, unknown, unseen blue beam is to represent the force of reconciling.

It might be thought that all this, playing with seemingly random mentions of colour by Nicoll, is distracting from the process of understanding the deeper meaning he is trying to convey. Yet, engaging the visualising capacity of the brain in a directed and useful manner can open things up in many ways.
