Garden Notes, my print newsletter, runs on donations! It costs me about $3 to print and mail each copy out. Any donations above my costs I plan to reinvest in the newsletter, using it to cover free copies for those that can't afford to donate, pay artists for cover images, and (hopefully, eventually) other authors to contribute essays.
