Hello! My name's Jon, nice to meet you.
I've been a passionate supporter of Free and Open Source software since I first came across the GNU project back in 1988, and was immediately excited to contribute to this nascent movement in whatever way I could. It took me until 2003 to find my niche with the first public release of MPXJ.
Since then I've been working evenings and weekends to evolve MPXJ from a library for a single language to read a single file format, into what has been described as the "Swiss Army Knife" of tools to read and write multiple project/schedule file formats using a variety of programming languages.
While this was going on I've had a "day job" working as an employee in some fantastic organisations... but I've always had a nagging desire to do more with MPXJ: to provide better support for its users, better documentation, improve the existing implementation, add features which would be too time consuming to build while trying to hold down a full time job... even write a book about it!
I'm pleased to say that in 2022 I made the decision to work full time on MPXJ so I can do all of the things which didn't fit around having a full time job, and your generous support will help me to do that!

Jon,
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you have put into this library. I am just learning about the library now but am very impressed with everything I've seen so far. It is such a wonderful feeling to have some control over your data as opposed to being locked into someone else's vision of how things should be organized.
Have a wonderful holiday season.
Geoff
