Comprar Jonathan Justin un decaf coffee

I am a stand-up comedian. I produce and host an open mic every Friday. I challenged myself to do a YouTube short everyday for this year, and recently took a break after I went broke. I would love to get back to creating content consistently and creating more opportunities for local comics.

Without being able to house my family, provide them with healthcare, and feed them, this is not possible. A double negative lol, confusing.

David Lynch says “The creator cannot create if they are so stressed they can’t get out of bed.” (Paraphrasing)

Well I do get out of bed, I work full time, and I am lucky enough, that I do shows at night. I know I’m privileged to do it. I would love to focus all my energy on the two most important things in my life my family and art.

I love doing stand-up, I love making YouTube shorts. I loved live streaming on Twitch. I love getting the chance to make small silly little video games like Covid The RPG. I love writing stupid little essays. I love collaborating with my friends. I love writing an album each year with my best friend. I love creation.

And yes I love my family too, deeply. I miss them, having to work day and night. I almost took a comedy hiatus but then I started booking gigs here and there, thank God, my comedy family, and Facebook (yes FB).

I would love to focus solely on creating and my family. I just want to contribute to giving people the best live in person experiences of their week. And be able to create.

I truly believe that we are more divided then ever and the only way to solve it is to have more in person experiences and stop mindlessly scrolling. But I’d like to contribute to both IRL experiences and mindlessly scrolling, cause both are fun.

Love,

Jonathan
