Spin off of Jojo's - Categories
Probably any of you readers know perfectly well what a Spin Off is, but as there may be doubts, I'll give you a quick definition before getting into the subject. A Spin Off is a television series, movie, radio show, video game or narrative work created from an existing work. In this particular case, we are going to talk about manga derived from Hirohiko Araki's masterpiece, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It is very important not to confuse Spin Offs with other works by the same author that may contain references to Jojo's and vice versa, but are not based on each other. Examples of this would be the works of "Georgeous Irene" or "Baoh the Visitor".
That said, it is important to differentiate, within the Jojo's Universe, two types or Categories of Spin Offs: those created entirely by Araki and those delegated to other mangakas. I want to make clear that in this article, I am only going to talk about manga Spin Offs, leaving aside other works such as light novels, and titles as well known as: “JORGE JOESTAR”, “GioGio's Bizarre Adventure II: Golden Heart, Golden Ring” or “JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE OVER HEAVEN” in others.

Spin Off list, Summary and Publication
Next I am going to make two lists, one with the Manga Spin Offs made by Araki, and another list with the Manga Spin Offs made by other mangakas. In both lists I will include the year of publication and a brief summary.

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan also called the Rohan Kishibe Series
This Spin Off tells several loose, sometimes unconnected stories of the mangaka Rohan Kishibe. These One Shoot have been collected in several volumes and have been published in different magazines since 1997. Some of the best known chapters are: “Rohan au Louvre”, “Kishibe Rohan Meets Gucci” or “At a Confessional”.

Deadman's Questions
Originally known as Deadman's Questions and later collected with other Araki stories in Under Execution, Under Jailbreak. This Spinn Off tells the mysterious story of a spirit wandering in the world of the living trying to find happiness. The interesting thing about this spirit is that his name is Kira Yoshikage. I won't give you any more spoilers about it. This Spin Off was published in 1999.

Oingo Boingo Brothers Adventure
The next Spin Off, is in my opinion the funniest of all, called: “Oingo Boingo Brothers Adventure” where the stories of Stadurst Crusaders that we already know in Tohth's book are told with that characteristic style. It was published in 2002.

Jolyne, Fly High with GUCCI
This collaborative manga with Gucci tells the brief story of Jolyne, Bruno and Abbachio at Tokyo airport, where they meet strange Unicorn. It was published in 2012.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak
This is an Spinn Off manga written by Kouhei Kadono, author of Purple Haze Feedback, and illustrated by Tasuku Karasuma, author of No Guns Life. It is the first official JoJo's Bizarre Adventure spin-off in a manga format that is not illustrated by Hirohiko Araki. It began publication in 2021 and completed publication in 2023. The story told is about the adventures of Hol Horse, Josuke Higashikata, Boingo and Ryoko trying to defeat an enemy stand that trained Dio before he died.

Fujiko's Bizarre Worldly Wisdom -Whitesnake's Miscalculation-
This is a Spin Off one-shot manga written and illustrated by Sho Aimoto, author of Kemono Jihen. It began publication in 2022 and tells a side story of Jolyne in Green Dolphin Jail, within the main story of Stone Ocean.

Cool Shock Old B.T.
Is a spin-off manga written by Nisio Isin, author of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Over Heaven, and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, illustrator of The Promised Neverland. Unlike Cool Shock BT's work, this Spin Off does feature characters from the Jojo's universe such as Rohan Kishibe. There are several chapters about it, so I encourage you to read it. It started to be published in 2021.

Cool Shock B.T. Reboot
Is a one-shot manga written by Juichiro Hitsujiyama and illustrated by Yuta Matsutani, with storyboard composition by Ao Suzumura. It is a modern reboot of the original Cool Shock B.T. series by Hirohiko Araki. Having been published in April 2024, I haven't read this Spin Off yet, so I don't want to give a summary without first understanding and reading the work. Even though I am not 100% sure that this will be a Spin Off, I am including it in case there is anyone interested in reading it. Still, it will surely be a good work to enjoy.

Conclusion
There are a lot of Spin Offs for those of us who are lovers of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. In a future article, I will talk about light novels and other works considered Spinn Offs that do not have their format in manga.
