Caravan started on a road trip where half the group spent the drive texting "where are you?" instead of looking out the window.
It does one simple thing: everyone travelling together sees where the rest of the group is on a single map, and roughly when they'll arrive. No feed, no ads, nobody's location sold. Your position is visible only to the people in your caravan, only while a trip is running, and only your most recent one is ever stored.
Caravan is free and I'd like to keep it that way — but it isn't free to run. Every trip costs real money in maps and routing, and that cost grows with every hour people spend on the road together.
