John Sullivan (a.k.a. Johnny Venom) is a Montreal-based musician, artist, and researcher. Bringing experience as a touring musician, interaction designer, and music technology researcher to his interdisciplinary work, he combines original music, performance, and interactive technologies in constantly evolving artistic explorations that blend digital and analog forms. Johnny is currently composing new material for performance and listening in immersive, spatial audio formats, with plans for an album release in early 2026.
Featured video: Johnny spent the beginning of 2024 in residency at the National Centre for Dance Bucharest in Romania, where he co-created the dance/music/AI performance "For Patricia" with choreographer Sarah-Fdili Alaoui. The piece was premiered in Bucharest and toured in Europe in the fall of 2024 as part of the MODINA - Movement, Digital Intelligence, and Interactive Audience project.
