My new video is out.
This week I visited the Mémorial de la Résistance at Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure in Charente: a 21-metre monument overlooking 2,255 grave markers and the woods where the local Bir Hacheim maquis developed during the Occupation.
What looks peaceful now was anything but.
The film goes back through occupied France, the Resistance in Charente and the people this extraordinary place was built to remember.
