Happy Weekend! I wanted to give you a few exciting - and a couple not-so-exciting - updates in Referral World this week.

7/22/22

Steady Paydays

Steady App has been steadily paying out each week. I received $50 from them, today, and have received hundreds from them since signing up. A big, "THANK YOU" to everyone who's signed up through me, thus far!

Times Club Cut Their Bonuses In Half

In the year I've had Times Club, they've always offered a $20 signup bonus, triggered when you redeem your first offer. According to both their iOS and Android apps, those bonuses have lowered to $10. I also noticed that all of my pending signups have changed from $20 to $10. I will be reaching out to Times Club because up until they lowered the bonus this week, all of my signups were promised $20 bonuses. Hopefully it's just an app bug. I will post updates as they develop.

Oxygen Toxicity

Follow-up on yesterday's Oxygen news (see below): Oxygen was supposed to get back to me within 24-48 hours to (hopefully) credit my latest signup to me and award us our bonuses. Instead, they retaliated and closed my account, keeping my $125 hostage! Their email states "deposits will be returned to sender". It is unclear at this point whether they will send me a check for my $125 earned in referral bonuses over the past few months.

This is the second time Oxygen has closed my account. They first closed it in June for no reason and with no communication. That time, it took a week of reaching out to them before they told me they'd made a mistake and restored my account. This time, they're refusing to give the reason why they closed my account.

Checking the BBB complaints, this appears to be common practice. And Oxygen's replies to most of the complaints have me SMDH.

For these reasons, I urge you to steer clear of Oxygen app.

Strike Hits a Home Run

Strike is a financial/crypto/p2p app that offers an instant $10 when you sign up and verify your identity. It's known for having one of the easiest signup processes among all the apps out there. Strike didn't used to require a deposit... that is, until last week, when they started requiring a $1 deposit to trigger the bonus. Well, it looks like they struck out in doing that, likely affecting their bottom dollar. The great news is, as of yesterday, they removed the deposit requirement! This move makes Strike's instant $10 signup and referral bonuses a grand slam!

Lack of Oxygen

Have you been referring Oxygen but haven't been receiving referral bonuses, lately? Or, have you recently signed up using someone's Oxygen referral link but didn't get a bonus? According to my last signup who reached out to Oxygen after not getting her bonus, they denied it because my referral link was older than 30 days. Apparently, Oxygen has been changing the links every 30 days, or so. I've personally gone in and updated my link and I also contacted Oxygen because I called them the other day regarding this same signup and was told that they did properly track. That said, I did notice that the link in my phone app had changed since I last listed my referral link in my blog posts.

I will update once I hear back from Oxygen. In the meantime:

  • Referrers - I recommend you go into your app and update any of your older link posts if your link has changed.

  • Referees - If you didn't get your bonus when you signed up through a referral link, I recommend you reach out to your referrer to let them know, along with the info provided here.

Solo Is Still #1

https://worksolo.onelink.me/7Viq/443jcc90
Since I signed up for Solo in February, I have been blessed with sizeable payouts each and every Tuesday! Yesterday, I was paid another $120; $90 last week.

If you don't already know, Solo is a free delivery driver/gigworker all-in-one app that allows you to connect one or more of your delivery/gig accounts. It helps you to track your mileage and expenses, shows comparisons of which gigs you should work on which days and which hours based on hourly pay estimates. It also offers pay guarantee and other perks if you choose to subscribe to their service (but you don't have to).

On top of all this, when you use my link and attach one of your delivery/gig apps to your Solo account, you'll get a $15 signup bonus! And if you refer apps, it offers $15 for your first 10 referrals this month, and $20 for every additional referral after that!

Solo pays out weekly, on Tuesdays. See my Solo blog post for all of my bonus proof! Also, I have referral links for multiple delivery apps; if you're interested in any of those, you can find them here.

9:51AM PT
Millions appears to be shutting down, beginning August 19th. I just received this email (see screenshot below). They keep referring to ending the "Millions card program" and go on to inform that on 8/19/22, we'll no longer be able to load money onto our cards, and that we spend the money we have on our cards before the 9/19/22 closing date, or else call them to mail out a check. This, only a week or so after ending their referral program. I've really enjoyed the Millions app and their promotions, they will be missed!

10:43 AM PT
Apparently, Mom and Dad are fighting! Just under an hour ago, Bancorp sent out an email stating that Millions Card Program would be shutting down, beginning 8/19/22 (see earlier update above). Now, Millions has sent out an email stating that they are NOT shutting down, but that they are splitting up with Bancorp - their hosting bank - and will be moving forward with another sponsored bank. It's unclear from this email whether they have already found another sponsor bank, or whether they're just starting to look.

They also announced in this email that they're giving away free spins today; to enter, you need to tweet at them with #LongLiveMillions. I noticed the url of this link reads, "The report [sic] of Millions death have been greatly exaggerated."

I will continue to update with developments as they come.7/19/22

Millions and Bumped have, for now, ended their referral programs. Strangely, I received a Millions referral bonus a couple days ago, despite the invite link being removed from my app days/week prior. Perhaps a timing issue, or perhaps our referral links are - for now - still working. If you have any info on this, email me at [email protected] and let me know.

Strike changed their terms and now requires a $1+ deposit to receive the $10 signup bonus. It's still a great, instant bonus once you're approved. See my Strike Blog post for more info.

Although it took a few months of ̶̵h̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵a̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵r̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵a̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵s̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵s̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵i̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵n̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵g̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵ ̵̶̵̶̵̶̵̶̵ reaching out to Times Club over not being credited with any referral bonuses, they reviewed all my referrals and found 11 that I should have been credited for, and they issued me the bonuses for those signups. I can now recommend signing up for them again, because up until the issues occurred, they were one of my favorite and most lucrative apps to promote. See my new Times Club blog post for more info on their $20 signup and referral bonuses promotion.

Upgrade $100 Bonus Promotion Extended [U.S. Only]

http://upgrade.com/p/E504waK5xc
Upgrade is a new banking app that offers a $100 signup bonus when you open an account and use their physical card to make three purchases within 60 days. No minimum purchase required. P2P payments will not trigger the bonus, but I triggered mine by reloading my Amazon gift card balance with $1 three times. $100 referral bonuses as well, up to $1,000 max in referral bonuses.

This great promotion was set to expire on 7/14/22 but they extended it through 7/31/22.

RebatesMe more than tripled their bonuses! [Worldwide]

https://www.rebatesme.com/r/tsiyb9

One of my favorite, most lucrative cashback portal sites just tripled their signup and referral bonuses!! Just sign up using my link and use their site when you shop through any qualifying retailers (likely ones you shop at already). Once you earn $10 in cashback within a year, you'll get a $31 signup bonus!! $31 referral bonuses, as well.

This is among the highest bonuses RebatesMe has offered, and this promotion expires 7/26/22.

TopCashback also more than tripled their bonuses!

https://www.topcashback.com/ref/johnmego

Speaking of cashback portals, TopCashback also increased their bonuses this month from their standard $10 to $35! Same terms as RebatesMe: you need to use their site and shop to earn $10 cashback to trigger the bonus. Reviewing the terms, I don't see how long you have to do this, nor do I see an expiration of this promotion. Based on past promotions, I expect that this promotion is only temporary and will revert to $10 soon. If you're interested in this promotion, I recommend signing up right away!

For more great cashback portal bonuses, along with tips/tricks for maximizing the cashback you receive anytime you shop, check out my Featured Cashback Portals post.
