Wishew's Withdrawals Delayed (AGAIN), and 12% Fee!
I really wish[ew] I had better news on Wishew this morning. Earlier this week, I checked in with Wishew and was assured that members could withdraw by today. This morning, though, we received an email notifying us that the ability to withdraw has been delayed once again. 
I contacted Wishew asking for more information since the email stated withdrawals would be available "as soon as possible" (but with no actual date this time). 
In other words, they're working on a fix but aren't making any promises as to how quickly we'll be able to withdraw. Additionally, I noticed this week that Wishew is charging a 12% fee on our earned referral bonuses. I worried this might happen when I saw in their terms that they charge 12% on donations earned from our wishes. However, I found nowhere in the terms that this fee would also apply to referral bonuses. Wishew had advertised their referral bonuses as $10, $12, and $15 without mentioning a 12% fee. Right now, I'll only receive $2,499 of the $2,840 I earned in referral bonuses ($2,840 of earned referral bonuses minus their $341 fee).
I contacted Wishew, asking them to waive this fee on referral bonuses, but this request was declined. That was before today's latest "delayed withdrawals" email. I asked once again that they consider waving this fee on referral bonuses. Hopefully, they'll revisit their decision.

Proper Insurance Renegs on $50 Bonuses, Sketchiness!
Last week, I reported about a Proper Insurance promotion that I never signed up for, but a few people had started posting in Referral World. I mentioned how they were offering $50 referral bonuses to be paid out quarterly and that referrers were receiving bonus confirmations up until the night of 5/14. The next morning, affiliates' referral links reached a blank screen, indicating that Proper Insurance had paused or ended the promotion. And though I hadn't personally seen any posts from referrers promoting self-signups, I mentioned the possibility in my article since a fellow referrer had suggested that to me as being a possible reason Proper might have shut it down.
During my time in Referral World, it was not uncommon for a company to shut down its promotion after it unexpectedly reached a larger audience than anticipated. In these cases, companies will typically pause or end the promotion and either honor the existing bonuses, investigate existing signups for authenticity, and issue bonuses to genuine signups, or they'll decide not to honor any bonuses (with or without justification).
Proper Insurance took a whole different approach. On 5/15, Proper Insurance emailed some members from their [email protected] account claiming that its website was hacked and suggested these hackers went in and changed the terms of an old, defunct referral promotion that had ended at least six months prior. That same day, Proper Insurance joined several Facebook referral groups, flagging posts that mentioned Proper Insurance - including last week's Referral World News issue!

Later in the week, Proper Insurance cited a different reason in their emails, informing members that Proper Insurance was indeed running a promotion but that "hundreds of fraudulent Proper Insurance Affiliate Program accounts" were created. It's worth noting that I didn't see a single mention of anybody in Referral World suggesting that people "self-refer" or otherwise scam the system.

Some referrers have questioned the legitimacy of Proper Insurance's 5-star reviews on Facebook, TrustPilot, etc., and have even given their own reviews detailing their experience with this referral promotion and Proper Insurance's response. I personally had never heard of Proper Insurance before seeing posts pop up in Referral World last week, so I cannot speak to their legitimacy. I neither signed up for nor promoted Proper Insurance aside from reporting the news on it as was available in Referral World. While Proper Insurance reported numerous social media posts - including my RWN issue - the company has not attempted to contact RWN directly with any explanation.

I have bad news and great news about Grifin. The bad news is that today is the last day of Grifin's fourth one-week run for $5 signup bonuses and $30 referral bonuses. The promotion ends at midnight in your time zone. So you only have 7-10 hours to refer Grifin to rack up those $30 bonuses.

Stimulus's $10 Referral Bonuses Promo is Was Back!
1:42 PM PDT update: Since signing up early this morning, I never did receive a link despite being quite active on the site as suggested. And RWN is receiving tips that the funds have already run out this round, and this latest promotion has already ended.
Stimulus rebooted their viral $10 referral bonus promo! I decided to finally bite the bullet and signed up through RWN supporter, Greg Darby (you may remember that I shared his referral link a few months back). I have to say that my first impression of the site is pretty positive. It's a social network and reminds me of Facebook/Instagram/MeWe/etc.
One thing missing is my referral link, confirming that when you sign up, a referral link is not guaranteed (at least, not right away). I did everything instructed by other referrers, including verifying my email and phone, uploading my profile and cover photos, making posts, interacting with other posts, entering giveaways, etc. Fingers crossed I'll get one during this promotion, and I'll update the post once I do.
As I've prevously reported, please be aware that when you see posts referring Stimulus in Facebook and similar referral groups, some referrers are intentionally trying to dupe people into signing up through them by omitting pertinent info or flat out lying. Information they tend to leave out includes:
There's no signup bonus (only referrer bonuses)
Not everyone gets a referral link
You must be active on the site (verify your info, upload profile and cover photos, post, comment, enter giveaways, and interact with other users) to be considered for a link. And as in my case, even doing all of these things doesn't guarantee you a link (at least, not right away).
Having said that, here are a few honest referrers who regularly promote Stimulus correctly, and until (and if) I get my own referral link, I highly recommend you sign up through one of them:

Acorns Removes Referral Tracking from App and Website!

While checking on this week's Acorns promotion, I noticed the referral tracking link was missing on the website. I then went to check the Acorns app on my phone and found it was missing there, too, and I got a popup notifying me that Acorns has "temporarily" removed the feature, with a survey link for me to fill them out and let them know my thoughts about its removal. I clicked the link and gave my two cents, letting them know that referral tracking is vital as they offer their big weekly referral promotions. If you currently have acorns, I recommend you go into the app and fill out this form if it pops up for you.
Fortunately, I previously bookmarked the referral tracking page and verified that the page itself is still up and, as far as I know, still tracking referrals.
