Shopback's NEW, Increased $25/$35 Bonus Promo!

https://app.shopback.com/sYE6ehYeTQb - code wBUA8m

Shopback, which featured erlier this week with its previous $30 signup and bonus promotion, started another one as soon as the last one ended. Right now, they're offering a $25 signup and unlimited $35 referral bonuses.
image

Earning the signup bonus is quite easy right now as you only need to sign up, add and verify your PayPal withdrawal method, and shop at any of their 20,000 online or in-store retailers using the Shopback portal. You'll trigger the signup bonuses once you earn $5+ cashback within 180 days. And as soon as you sign up, you'll get your own referral link/code to share and earn unlimited $35 bonuses

While the signup bonus is technically $5 less than the last promo, both bonuses are much higher than the standard $5 offering, and the $35 referral bonuses increased by another $5, which means even bigger earnings as you refer others.

I found several easy ways to trigger the signup bonus by doing things you likely already do, such as making Amazon purchases, which gets you $4.99 cashback for your first order and $0.20 for your second order. You can also place a DoorDash order and earn 25% cashback. Note that these special promos end tonight (2/16), and are just two of several boosted cashback offers Shopback is running right now. More recommendations and information about this promo are in my featured post here.
image

Once your signup bonus is triggered, payment times vary depending on which offers you complete Amazon cashback pays out in 30 days, for instance.

I highly recommend jumping on this opportunity. I landed over $1,500 in potential bonuses since signing up on 2/10 (the actual amount will be TBD by referees who successfully trigger the bonuses). This promo ends 2/24.

Increased $10-$60 MoneyLion Bonuses are Back, Ends 3/1!

https://mlion.us/$55BONUS - code $55BONUS

My biggest moneymaker this month is back with their famous "Referral Rush" promo! Through 3/1, get $10 signup and referral bonuses from MoneyLion (double their standard $5 bonuses). Earn $50 more as you or your referees trigger the deposit bonus, which can be done through direct deposit or by making a $100+ transfer from within Current or Found.

MoneyLion was my top earner of 2024 AND so far in 2025! I received another $765 the past week, $3,980 since New Year's Day, and over $16.1K since signing up (with more bonuses on the way). See my featured MoneyLion post for more info.

Increased Valentine's Promo: $4 SIGNUP Bonuses From Fetch!

https://fetchrewards.onelink.me/vvv3/referraltext?code=XRGUGB (code XRGUGB)

The receipt-scanning/cashback app, Fetch, started a special Valentine's Day Promo running through 2/16: get a $4 signup bonus when you sign up and scan your first receipt. This promo offers $2 referral bonuses as well. Typically, Fetch's special promotions increase the referral bonus, not the signup bonus. This promotion is a rare opportunity to earn more just for signing up, and I'm all for it!

Fetch is a great way to score gift cards and other cashback rewards by scanning your shopping receipts and connecting your Amazon, Walmart, and email accounts to the app. For more information about Fetch, see my featured post here. For similar receipt-scanning and cashback apps, see my Featured Cashback Bonuses post.

I Scored Another $50 From Chase's $50 No-Deposit Bonuses!

https://accounts.chase.com/raf/share/2735652016

As I've said for years now, "the best part of waking up" (queue the Folgers jingle) is spotting new referral bonuses in my bank accounts! It happened again with Chase today as I spotted a new pending $50 referral bonus. If you are reading this and it's you who signed up through me and triggered this particular bonus, thank you so much!

If you haven't signed up, Chase has a great promotion. Sign up and make a qualifying direct deposit to earn a $300 deposit bonus. As soon open your Chase checking acocunt, you get your own link which you can share to earn a $50 referral bonus for the first ten people who sign up through you per year. The best part? Your referees only need to sign up and open a checking account. No spending or deposit is necessary to receive your referral bonus!

I've banked with Chase for well over a decade now and highly recommend both Chase and this referral promotion. More info on this promotion here, and for more banking bonuses, see my featured post here.

Complex Promos and Due Diligence (Don't Be THAT Referrer)!

In addition to publishing these RWN posts and various referral posts, I volunteer as an admin/moderater of multiple prominent referral groups. I love being able to aid others in making referral money by actively approving their posts and weeding out scam posts. Moderating has also kept me on the pulse of new apps and promos when they come out!

While mostly a positive experience, moderating can at times be very demanding and frustrating as we deal with shenanigans from Facebook, Reddit, and other sites that often dole out restrictions over legit posts and issue violations to the referrers who post them. Groups have been permanently disabled due to a member simply sharing their Citibank link, for instance. Making referrers' and moderators' lives even more difficult is when an app gets "creative" with a new promotion. Apps generally will have a single signup and referral bonus promotion at any given time, and the promotion will be the same for everyone. Easy-peasy! Sometimes, though, an app will do things like:

  • offer one referral promo to specific users - or even a single user - and a different promo (or no promo) to others;

  • change up the requirements to trigger the bonus without clearly communicating this to referrers;

  • offer varying signup bonuses depending on the user;

  • bury details like referral caps deep in their fine-print or not disclose them at all.

Just yesterday, I wanted to bang my head against a wall after having to declining several legit posts from legit referrers who were mispromoting Flash and Scrambly. Scrambly whose signup and referral promotion used to more straightforward, recently increased both bonuses but also made the terms more confusing. Now, when you sign up and cash out $1+ for the first time, your referrer gets their bonus (still automatically applied to their account). But to earn your increased $5 signup bonus, you must also earn $5+ in cashback (no withdrawal required). Once you reach $5 earned cashback, you receive an email with a unique $5 code that you need to redeem in your Scrambly account. Hat tip to RWN reader Jennifer F. messaging me yesterday about Scrambly; I contacted Scrambly directly and learned of these recent changes.

Flash decided to take an even more confusing approach: Flash's signup bonus used to award new members 250 points when they sign up and 1,000 points when they connect their email (which is 500 points for connecting and 500 for using a referral link). The total signup bonus - 1,250 points (approximately $4.16 value) - supposedly changed to 1,600 points though it's not advertised anywhere that I could find in the app or via email. I reached out to the company for information but haven't heard back yet. Flash's referral bonus also increased for some, either 1,500 or 2,500 points, depending on which targeted offer you have in your app. Some folks also have a "refer five, get an additional $10" while others weren't offered this promo.

DoorDash and Bingo Champions are two more examples of apps with "gotchas." For DoorDash, I have a "give $30, get $20 promotion". While the $30 signup bonus I was promoting is available to anyone using my link, I found out earlier this week that the $20 referral bonus promo was targeted/random. I also learned that DoorDash has a $200 referral cap which was buried in their terms and conditions. Bingo Champions also apparently has a $500 referral bonus cap, which isn't listed anywhere in their terms, but I've been denied bonuses since reaching that amount.
image
These scenarios are not new to Referral World. Acorns, Webull, and other apps are famous for doing it. It's easy to understand how referrers can inadvertently mispromote an app's bonuses, requirements and/or payout specifics. And, of course, there are also bad apples who willingly deceving folks with exaggerated/false bonus claims.

Occasionally, even active moderators aren't fully abreast of the ins and outs of a particular app promo, especially when said app has recently switched up or targeted said promotions. I recommend including screenshot proof of any bonuses that a mod may erroneously decline/remove, and you can always reach out to the mod directly if there are any questions or misunderstandings. Most times, you can also reach out to the app's support team directly with any questions relating to its referral program, either by contacting support directly in the app or by emailing them (in those cases, I'll google "contact [app name] support" to locate their email/phone information.

For me, yesterday was a reminder of the importance of due diligence when referring apps. Recognizing when an app's signup and referral bonuses are two separate amounts. Knowing and promoting these promos correctly help to ensure posts shared in groups don't get declined/removed and will go a long way in building trust with those we refer.

MoneyLion Keeps on Roaring. Another $210 Overnight!

https://mlion.us/$55BONUS - code $55BONUS

Just last night, another $210 in referral bonuses posted to my account from MoneyLion! I've earned $1,415 this month and over $16.1K since I signed up (most of that from the past year)!

Thanks again to everyone who signed up through me for MoneyLion, and fingers crossed MoneyLion starts up another "Referral Rush" promo soon (where the $5 signup and referral bonuses are doubled to $10 with no spend or deposit requirement).

More info on MoneyLion here, and more great banking apps with tips on triggering the bonuses here.

Stash's Lucrative Increased $30 Bonus Promotion!

https://get.stash.com/john_h88crts

Stash, a popular stocks/investment app offering banking and cashback, recently increased its bonuses by 50%. You'll earn $30 of bonus stock - up from $20 - when you join and add one penny or more to your personal investment or bank account from any source. You can choose a $30 cash bonus instead of the stock reward if you'd like.

Stash has been a lucrative moneymaker for me. I've already earned $390 from this promo alone!
image
Stash also frequently holds Stash Stock Parties, where members can get a piece of whatever stock Stash offers by signing in to claim it during the party. You can earn $1,000 per year in referral bonuses, making the nominal $3 monthly fee well worth it if you can refer even one person every 5-6 months. More info here.

Grifin's NEW $14 Signup and Referral Bonuses Promo!

https://grifin.app.link/OwEoa7ucgxb - code FNJPA8

Grifin just released a new Valentine's Day bonus promo: $14 signup bonus when you sign up and deposit or invest $5 (your choice). $14 unlimited referral bonuses! The standard bonuses are $5 unlike other special promotions that have run a week or longer, this one's only running through Friday, 2/14, so you'll want to act fast if you plan to sign up or refer to earn these bonuses.

One thing to note is that Grifin recently implemented a monthly $5 subscription fee (with cheaper annual/lifetime options). I typically don't like subscription fees, but because I have earned thousands in bonuses from Grifin since signing up in February. Since they keep offering great promotions like this one, I bought the lifetime subscription without a second thought. More info here.

Flash Doubled its Referral Bonuses to $10!

https://app.flash.tech/app/PCMW7ZKNefQLLkUx8

Have you signed up for Flash, yet? If you have, check your app because you should have a new link for Flash's increased $10 referral bonuses (up to 100 referrals). This is double the $5 bonus Flash previously offered.

If you haven't signed up for Flash, it's a fantastic instant app. I signed up and have already earned and cashed hundreds in Macy's and Amazon gift cards! You'll get 1,250 points instantly when you download the app from your phone, sign up, and connect your phone and email (the email you attach must have recent shopping/purchase history). Gift card redemption is also instant, with several gift cards ranging from $5-$100. For more info on Flash, see my featured post here, and you can find more instant apps here.

RWN is Back!

As you may know from last week's RWN, I took a hiatus, so I didn't update the issue daily as I normally do. Thank you for understanding and your continued support (and a special shoutout to RWN reader Katherine R. for her email).

While I wasn't sure how long of a break I'd take from Referral World, I took 6 days to process losing my mom, plan and celebrate Brett's birthday, and just take a much-needed moment to breathe and recharge. I'm happy to be back!

New Viral Cashback App Offers $30 Bonuses (Ends 2/14)!

https://app.shopback.com/sYE6ehYeTQb - code wBUA8m

A brand new promotion went viral from Shopback, offering a $30 signup and unlimited $30 referral bonuses. Shopback was founded in Singapore in 2014 and has since expanded to the US, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. However, Shopback is new to Referral World, thanks to these increased bonuses (the standard bonus being $5 based on research).

Earning the signup bonus is quite easy right now as you only need to sign up, add and verify your PayPal withdrawal method, and shop at any of their 20,000 online or in-store retailers using the Shopback portal. Once you earn $5+ cashback within 180 days, you'll trigger the signup bonuses. And as soon as you sign up, you'll get your own referral link/code to share and earn unlimited $30 bonuses (through 2/14).

I found several easy ways to trigger the signup bonus by doing things you likely already do, such as making Amazon purchases, which gets you $4.99 cashback for your first order and $0.20 for your second order. You can also place a DoorDash order and earn 25% cashback. These are just two of several boosted cashback offers Shopback is running right now. More recommendations and information about this promo are in my featured post here.
image

As with most cashback apps, Shopback is not instant. Once triggered, payment times vary depending on which offers you complete Amazon cashback pays out in 30 days, for instance.

I highly recommend jumping on this opportunity. I first posted about it last night and have already earmarked $660 in referral bonuses (the actual amount will be TBD by referees who successfully trigger the bonuses).

See my featured post here for more cashback signup and referral bonuses.

I Scored $900 Overnight!

https://www.referralworldnews.com/citi

One of the best things I did mid-December was sign up for Citi. There was no signup bonus, but there's a referral promotion (still running) that gets you $100 for each person who signs up through your link. There's no deposit OR spend requirement. My link was sent to me on 1/16, though I didn't notice it and start referring until 1/26. Fast forward to this morning as I logged into my Citi account to find that I was paid $900 in bonuses overnight! A huge "THANK YOU" if you're one of the nine who signed up using my link and best of luck as you refer it!

If you haven't signed up yet and want to earn up to $2,000 in referral bonuses, simply use a referral link and open a Citibank Checking account. Choose the version that says, "Earn $325..." You don't need to fund the account and can skip that screen when asked. Once you've done this, keep a look out for your referral link which is sent by email in 1-4 weeks. The subject line will, "[Your name], earn up to $2,000 on qualified referrals!"

While there's no signup bonus and there's no deposit requirement, you can earn an additional $325 bonus from Citi by receiving two or more deposits within 90 calendar days of account opening, totaling $3,000 or more. Qualifying deposits include recurring paychecks, pension, Social Security payments, and PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle transfers! You can use your Zelle/PayPal/Venmo account to send funds to your Citi account. In the case of PayPal, you'll want to ensure you're using ACH transfer.

More info on this Citi promotion here, and see more bank bonuses with tips to trigger them here.

MoneyLion Paid Me Another $555 This Past Week!

https://mlion.us/$55BONUS - code $55BONUS

My favorite app to refer, MoneyLion, paid me another $555 this week ($310 on 2/9 and $240 on 2/6)! This brings my total earnings to $3,770 since New Year's Day, and over $15.9K altogether (most of that earned this past year).

MoneyLion's latest "Referral Rush" promotion ended yesterday so the signup and referral bonuses are back to their standard $5. You can wait until the next "Referral Rush" promo comes along to sign up if you haven't yet, though I personally recommend signing up ASAP so that you're ready to earn the $10 immediately once the next promo comes out, likely in the next couple weeks.

The current signup bonus is $5 (no deposit or spend requirement) and you can get an additional $50 deposit bonus if you deposit $100 through either direct deposit or an external transfer using Current or Found apps. You can also earn $5-$55 referral bonuses (and $10-$60 bonuses during the "Referral Rush" promos)! More info here.

MyFreeApp's Increased, Instant $15 Bonuses!

https://www.myfreeapp.io?referral_code=ZQZJWEMP - code ZQZJWEMP

Great news: MyFreeApp's increased, instant $15 referral bonus promotion has returned and runs through 2/16, presumably ending at 7 PM PST based on similar prior promotions.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can get a $3 signup bonus with your first $3 cashout and will be able to immediately earn $15 referral bonuses for everyone who does the same using your link/code.

I initially believed MyFreeApp was worldwide, but after more research, I believe it's limited to the US, Brazil, and the EU. More info on MyFreeApp's promo and recommendations for quickly triggering the bonus can be found in my featured post here.

FR's Payout Problem (For Real)!

FR, aka "Friends For Real," went viral in Referral World in mid-January. I promoted this app as "testing" and earned a handful of referral bonuses. Everything appeared to go smoothly, and I made withdrawal requests for Starbucks gift cards. I was supposed to receive each gift card within 1-3 business days, but after a few days, the funds were just returned to my referral bonus balance and I still haven't received a single gift card.
image
I emailed support yesterday to report this issue and find out what's going on. I haven't received a reply yet. I also checked FR reviews on Google Play and found that others have reported the same issue with no response from the company. Until I have an update and FR actually pays out, I recommend steering clear of this app and promotion.

Update on Smart Desktop AI (SDAI) Scam!

Last July, an AI MLM "opportunity" (aka pyramid scheme) went viral in Referral World called Smart Desktop AI. SDAI was heavily peddled by Corey Price, Fundwise Capital's CMO (examples here, here, and here). Early on, Corey was the face of SDAI, hosting live Zoom calls, posting hyped-up YouTube videos, and even had an assigned SDAI email address ([email protected] as found here) Corey's email address was mysteriously deleted from SDAI's mail servers after I began CCing it in my payment inquiries to SDAI. Coincidence?.

I started seeing red flags shortly after signing up and promoting this "TESTING" opportunity scam and voiced my concerns in both member-created Facebook chats and my BMAC blog posts.
image Corey and/or his crew even created a Skool group, which members had to pay monthly to join.
image
SDAI was supposed to pay commissions - I was personally owed over $2K - but Corey and SDAI proceeded to gaslight why the payments were delayed, and multiple times they even claimed that payments were issued. None of this turned out to be true, though, and questions relating to payment and criticisms of SDAI were promptly removed from the SDAI and Fundwise Skool group comments. Some of these commenters were even banned from the Skool groups. After a few months, Corey moved on without explanation and seemingly zero concern about the numerous of folks who were scammed out of their personal data, money, or both. Here's just one example of a victim reaching out in early January and Corey's response:
image
Scams are nothing new to Referral World. The same goes for fly-by-nighters. Once we've deemed an app a scam, we typically put it in the rearview to focus on LEGITIMATE referral opportunities. What makes the SDAI scam particularly scary is how it harvested members' bank routing, account numbers, home addresses, phone numbers and emails.

If you fell for this scam, you're not alone. If you provided SDAI with your bank information, I recommend contacting your bank to change your account number. Be sure to inform them of the situation with SDAI deceptively gaining your bank details, and perhaps ask them what options for recourse they might recommend in reporting SDAI. I don't know that there are any options aside from changing our account numbers, but it's always worth asking!

Zogo Sponsor-Based Cashout Limits!

https://zogo.app.link/OpvQLwDYodb - code JOHNM711

Last week, I reported on Zogo's return to Referral World and why I stopped referring it after signing up in early 2021. Reasons including Zogo decreasing the referral bonuses, increasing the amount needed to cash out, gift cards regularly being unavailable, etc. Referral bonuses at that time had gotten as low as $0.20 IIRC.

Zogo returned to the spotlight last week with increased $5 signup and $1+ referral bonuses, and I'm once again referring it because bonuses aside, Zogo is fun AND educational, teaching me things I didn't know about finance, stocks, interest, savings, etc.

I learned from Zogosupport today that depending on the sponsor you choose during signup, there could be limits to how much you can cash out. One example, discovered by referrer Cecilia D., is AMEX which implemented an eight-gift card limit to incentivize learning over gift cards. When I signed up, I chose a local credit union which doesn't have such limits.

I'm not sure if there's any way to know when choosing your sponser if there are restrictions like these. I've replied to support asking this question and in the meantime, I recommend not choosing AMEX if you have another option availabie to sponsor your Zogo account. More info on Zogo and its current promotion in my featured post here.

Be Careful Sharing THESE Apps!

If you refer apps on Facebook, you may have found that certain apps you share are being declined or removed in certain referral groups. There are a few reasons for this which I've listed below.

In most referral groups, the buying, selling and/or verififcations of apps is not allowed, especially when it comes to apps that are in any way tied to people's personal or financial details. Scammers who prey on referrers are always looking for new victims in referral groups and while we can't prevent them from cold-messaging group members, we do our best as group admins and moderators to minimize fraudulent activity.

Another reason is that Facebook likes to randomly and frequently drop the hammer on legitimate referral groups, doling out bogus violations and even shutting down groups out of nowhere. Group admins and mods are nearly always left with little - if any - recourse aside from creating a new group from scratch and trying to rebuild member counts and everything lost from the closed group. This is why you'll see certain groups being temporarily paused or archived. Behind the scenes, the group has received violations from Facebook that have put the group at risk of being shut down permanently. Here's a screenshot from a featured post I updated back in September during one of these FB raids:
image

In just the last few weeks, several groups have received violations over Citibank and Reinbow posts, with some of those groups being permanently suspended. While it may not seem fair for referrers not to be able to refer their favorite legit apps in their favorite referral groups, group admins will sometimes not allow legitimate app posts in order to spare the group from being shut down. With apps like Citi, some referrers have found clever ways to promote them, such as not including the app name/link in their post, or not including screenshots disclosing the name of the app (for instance). Be careful if you take this approach though, because the last thing you'd want is to have your legit post confused with a scam post and taken down and/or you being removed from the group.

If you're ever in doubt about what is or isn't being allowed in a particular referral group, and/or whether there's a certain way recommended to promote the app, be sure to check the group rules and recent announcements in the group. You can always message the groups admins/mods if still unsure.
