Steps:
1) Use a referral link to open a Citibank Checking account. Choose the version on the left that reads, "Earn $325 with Enhanced Direct Deposit."
2) You do not need to fund your account. When asked if you'd like to, you can skip it.
3) Wait for your referral link to come via email. The subject line will, "[Your name], earn up to $2,000 on qualified referrals!" 
While a deposit is NOT required, you can earn an additional $325 bonus from Citi! To trigger, you only need to receive two or more deposits within 90 calendar days of account opening, totaling $3,000 or more. Qualifying deposits include recurring paychecks, pension, Social Security payments, and PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle transfers! You can use your Zelle/PayPal/Venmo account to send funds to your Citi account. In the case of PayPal, you'll want to ensure you're using ACH transfer.
Since this is a deposit bonus instead of a minimum balance bonus, you can send smaller amounts to/from Citi multiple times to trigger. For example, send $500 back and forth six times, or send $200 back and forth 15 times, etc.
Note that while there's a deposit bonus opportunity, there's no signup bonus. Your referral link to score $100 referral bonuses will arrive in your email, but typically not immediately. It can take up to 4 weeks to receive your link. And while Citi pays out bonuses each Tuesday, it appears it takes two weeks from when you sign up to when you get your signup bonus.
