Music is such a powerful medium. It can change our moods and perceptions. A single uniting sound can transcend all forms of prejudice.
Music is my greatest passion and vehicle for personal growth and education. It is my most significant lifeline to freedom, rebellion, and truth–even a connection to the divine that pierces my soul with sublime enjoyment, discipline, confidence, and purpose.
Without sounding corny or hyperbole, listening, learning, creating, performing, and teaching music saved my life!
I'm a 50-something singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, producer, and music educator from the greater New York City Area who has been playing guitar and writing songs since my early teens–ecstatic that my singer-songwriting career is blossoming!
I grew up listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchel, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Grover Washington Jr., Bobby Blue Bland, Ritchie Havens, Stravinsky, Debussy, and Pachelbel, who acted as my first musical teachers before I first plucked the guitar strings at age 11.
I enjoy making music that not only moves our bodies and brings us joy but opens our eyes, connects and unites us, and inspires our very core, which serves a higher purpose, more than just entertainment alone.
