The Berkshire breed is world renowned for its amazing flavour and is the perfect choice for homesteaders and new breeders but they are in danger of disappearing in Canada.
Their genetic traits make them invaluable for future generations wanting to raise free-range pigs that are

disease resistant
docile and easy to be around
excellent mothers
not aggressive
I am passionate about keeping this rare heritage breed of pig alive in Canada and securing a food source that does not have to be raised in intensive conditions!
I believe If we are going to eat them we should give them their best life - which is free range!
