Good ideas should spread like wildfire, instead of rotting on hard disks and in notebooks! That means they deserve a platform, like knowledge deserves Wikipedia and quality code deserves GitHub. Building such a platform for open sourcing ideas is a current project of mine.
I believe we as humanity must collaborate much more in order to tackle the challenging problems of our time. Therefore I consider the open source idea in general (not exclusive to software!) to be a very strong narrative, countering the current exploitative establishments.
Early on when I started coding, I realised how essential open source software is for creating quality software. It did not take long until I started contributing to public projects on GitHub and now I am maintaining multiple own packages.
