Back home for a few 
weeks to Oahu & excited to try out the new above traffic electric ⚡ light rail line - rode it with my dad as we looked at the mountains and talked. He got a seniors year pass for $45 and my day pass was $7.50
On my way home, I saw a lot of commuters using it to get home from construction, cleaning, shops, supermarkets, and medical staff jobs & it hit me how these are the 'essential workers' we can't run society without & they rely on this rail to reduce their commuting time & cost.
Many people also had electric ⚡ scooters and bicycles on the train to help them get to work & then home from the station. Others had their dogs with them.
In Japan, we don't have buses, teams or trains that allow bicycles or dogs.
What a wonderful asset to this island of a million residents.
It took a long time to arrive, but now that it's here, I hope it loops the entire island to spread benefits to more locals and visitors.
