Hi Joe,
Thank you for sharing your guix SSS setup. I've been wanting to try guix and learn a lisp like language and I must say your setup is functional and beautiful. I'm only a beginner but you setup has given me the start I needed. Thanks again!
Good evening Jon,First of all let me express my gratitude towards your very kind gesture.A generous contribution like yours helps propel me further, with even more motivation, so thank you very much for that ❤️! I am very happy you have joined us (hackers) in the free world that we have built, and that we share with one another! Long live the Supreme Sexp System!Your help and kindness mean a lot to me, and it really motivates me to know there are people that benefit from, and share in the vision and passion for the things I do, investigate, work on and put energy into.My philosophy when it comes to making and sharing my work and creations is one of love and brotherhood, also of kindness towards one another. In some ways I feel like what I do is also giving back to the many communities of great and brilliant generous people in the world that have given me so much and taught me immensely.I want to let you know that, as a user of SSS, you have a voice too, and I am open for receiving feedback, ideas, feature requests, improvements, bug reports, etc. I also am happy to receive contributions (by means of code, pull requests, testing effort, translations, devops, etc.)I will help you where I can, and guide you through common issues or questions that may arise during your experience.I think it will do you good to dive deeper and learn more Lisp. I would encourage you to learn more by challenging yourself to solve a problem, using Lisp. Think for example a small script that will help your workflow, a backup tool, or a small website that does something useful for you (or the community). The practical application of a language is what will really make you familiar with it. Configuring your operating system with a language will definitely help you learn, but it might feel overwhelming and a lot to take in. Go step by step, and enjoy the ride. Don't forget that a big part of the "hacker" spirit is also about having fun.Learning a Lisp more profoundly is a journey of enlightment. I say this very seriously as this is what I have personally experienced. My personal favourite Lisp is Scheme due to its expressiveness, power, simplicity, and functional programming approach. That being said I also enjoy other Lisps, and other programming languages. I think one should keep an open mind.Learning Lisp is not just about mastering a programming language—it is a path to clarity, elegance, and profound understanding of computation itself. It is a journey much like a Zen practice, where simplicity begets power and minimalism reveals endless depth. At first, you encounter parentheses—countless, symmetrical, enclosing whispers of structure and logic. But soon, you realize they are not clutter, but clarity. As you might already have experienced, in Lisp, code and data are practically the same, and blend easily into one; syntax is no longer a prison but a canvas.I also would recommend that you use tagged (semantic) versions of SSS, as those have my stamp of approval (for all users). Use unstable versions at your own risk, but feel free to report issues. Also, if you are curious about the project status, find here the project management (backlog, kanban) for SSS: https://lucidplan.jointhefreeworld.org/tickets/sssFeel free to contact me via email as well: jjbigorra at gmail dot comWarm regards, and stay in touch,Joe

After some struggling I guess it's the easiest way to install Guix as a newbie. Thanks
