It’s been a hot second.
Things are heating up in the haunt world, and if you’re an extreme planner (or your day job is planning haunts), you already know: we’re full steam ahead.
Timelines are locked. Build schedules are being mapped. Costumes and makeup designs are in motion as I type this. And honestly? This is just the tip of the iceberg. I know many of you are in the same boat.
From what we’re seeing online, HHN and Knott’s are deep into their builds, and countless haunts across the map are pushing hard toward opening day. That looming deadline creeps closer every minute. Do we ever really get to enjoy summer? Some say yes. Some say, “It’s too fcking hot to be doing this sht.” I am... not one of those people.
Here’s the point: we’re all busy as hell. Running this channel and producing content gets harder the closer we get to the spooky season. I’ve had to remind myself—it’s okay to not post every day. Or even every week. I still catch myself feeling guilty for not feeding the content beast for those of you who devour what we do. But I am grateful for the patience this community continues to show.
With that said, I’m stepping away for the next two weeks. The odds of me posting haunt or horror content during that time? Slim. Breann is still around (also busy as hell), but she'll keep things alive while I'm away.
Oh, and if you didn’t know, Breann’s moving! The podcast will still roll forward; it might just sound a little different for a bit.
So, here’s my long-winded way of saying: give me 2.5 more weeks and we’ll drop a new episode. One’s already in the tank, just waiting for a little polish and upload love. Life’s moving fast, y’all.
