About Juan Fernando Reyes
I’m a passionate photographer and economist, and the co-founder and Executive Director of Herencia ONG in Pando, Bolivia. For years, I’ve been dedicated to promoting sustainable development in the Bolivian Amazon, leading projects that encourage the preservation of nature and support the well-being of local communities.
Through Herencia—an organization that works alongside Amazonian communities to strengthen sustainable production, environmental monitoring, and socio-economic solutions—I’ve helped drive initiatives in forestry, aquaculture, meteorology, and education. My work is also part of the tri-national MAP (Madre de Dios–Acre–Pando) Initiative, which fosters regional cooperation for environmental conservation.
