About JewelsVista.com
a campground near Yosemite for people with an affinity for tranquility

"I help people briefly escape the city—and get baptized in a sea of holy dust."
James speaks of the purpose of Jewels Vista, a collection of campsites on 40 acres that he helps to steward. He calls this place, "a wrecking ball of quiet," because:
a. A stay here will "wreck" you (in a good way) and
b. It's quiet, and
His work involves scribbling down words (often poems) that cause you to see, hear, and feel the wonder of God and His creation. Everything points to Him!
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
for through him God created everything
in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see
and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him.
He existed before anything else,
and he holds all creation together." - Colossians 1:15-17 (NLT)
James believes God's loving arms are wide open toward those who humbly turn to Him for help.
Each month, James (powered by your coffee!) writes a blog and posts a photo that:
1) Gives God glory!
2) Shares reports, plans, or a fun poem!
3) Encourages people to visit JV and be "baptized" in dirt!
If you're in the area—35 miles south of Yosemite—James warmly invites YOU to come and *gently* tap ceramic coffee cups together here in the foothills of Madera County, about 17 miles north of Fresno, California.
"Whether or not you believe in God—EVERYONE is welcome to visit the quiet campsites at Jewels Vista!" - James
P.S. He blesses you on your journey, wherever it leads!
