I write with emotion. I am as rational as anyone, but I have learned there is no rationality or objectivity without considering needs, wants, and values.

The idea of "enough," deciding what I need and not taking more, drives me these days. Except for the truly anti-socials, humans are wired to take care of ourselves first and then to be of service. Hidden in plain sight, "Please put your mask on before helping others."

The best lives are not about selfish hoarding or selfless suffering.

A truly meaningful life is the integration of the self and the selfless.
