I’m so excited to share that I’ve officially received my Assistant Instructor certification!
I’ve started teaching my own class (with support from my Sensei), and stepping into that role has been such an honour. There’s something incredibly powerful about moving from being guided… to guiding others. It deepens your understanding in a way that simply training alone never could.
Teaching forces me to slow down, refine my technique, communicate clearly, and truly embody what I’m asking my students to do. It’s stretching me in all the right ways... and I’m loving every minute of it.
This is all part of the bigger picture.
My next tournament is at the end of April - I’m signed up for both Kata and Kumite as I begin proper preparation for the 2027 World Championship. Every class taught, every rep in the gym, every competition - it’s all building toward that goal.
