I just love encouraging people to keep Looking Up! -- which is my business name. I write books, teach, and speak to inspire others to deepen their relationship with God through prayer and the study of the Bible.

People know me as the Prayerwalker, because I have been walking and praying for my little town in the Sierra Valley for twenty-five years. Through those years of prayerwalking I've gotten healthier, lost weight, and been released from depression and fear.

I've written a bunch of books on prayer, including PrayerWalk and The Complete Guide to the Prayers of Jesus--with another couple coming out next year: Praying Personalities: Finding Your Natural Prayer Style and Looking Up! Finding Joy and Promise as You Pray through the Bible.

I love leading a large online community of women who read through the Bible each year-- Bible Girls, now in our 10th year--and another large online group called The Walking Club, women who walk and pray for their communities. Years ago I thought my life was hopeless and purposeless. But praying for my community and reading the Bible each year have changed my life. And I love sharing my story with others.
