Hi, I'm Jamie Shannon — puppeteer, director, character creator, and co-creator of Nanalan’ and Mr. Meaty.
For over 30 years I've been building strange creatures and bringing them to life for television, film, advertising, and the internet. Along the way I've created characters for Disney, BBC, CBC, Nickelodeon, PBS, Netflix, Smartfood, Nestlé, and many other brands, while helping create over 900 hours of television.
These days I'm focused on building original projects, teaching puppetry, sharing behind-the-scenes techniques, and creating new worlds filled with monsters, misfits, and lovable weirdos. Whether it's a puppet, a film, a workshop, or a ridiculous social media experiment, I'm always chasing the same goal: making characters that feel genuinely alive.
