When I retired (read: was kicked out) from radio, I had been in a process of using a lot of prompts. I had been writing a poem a day for 5 years and I gave myself assignments: write a group of poems using Walt Whitman poems as prompts, or whoever. Write a group of prose poems using dreams as prompts. A group could be between 10 - 20 poems, doing them one each day at a time. I would edit or re-edit...
