Hi, I'm James, a software engineer who works on fintech systems by day and builds open-source tools in my spare time.

AITERM is my open-source AI terminal project (github.com/jamesju9999/AITERM), aimed at helping developers work more naturally with AI directly in the terminal. It ships with several Claude Skills (like requirements-analyst and spec-workshop), along with a local LLM tool-calling benchmarking framework so you can evaluate different models' real-world performance and privacy trade-offs on your own machine.

I also write regularly on Medium about the project — covering LoopStudio's architecture, why I chose to go local-LLM-first, and the privacy considerations of running RAG in air-gapped environments.
