HalfLife Caffeine 1.4: now in 5 languages

Oct 14, 2026

imageBig update for HalfLife Caffeine, my free caffeine tracker for Garmin watches! ☕

What is new in 1.4:

- New languages: Finnish, Czech, German and French. The app follows your watch language.

- Tap to open: on touch watches you can tap a drink, a day or a chart bar to open it.

- Better buttons: UP and DOWN move the cursor in the drinks log and History.

- Scrolling: long lists and day details now scroll.

- Bug fix: days now start at your local midnight, not midnight UTC. Before, a coffee at 1 AM could land in "yesterday". Oops.

- History fix: per-drink history is now really kept for 14 days.

And last week, version 1.3.1 added support for 45 more watches, including the Fenix 9 family. That makes 94 watches in total.

Help wanted: the Finnish translation was done by a native speaker, and I checked Czech myself. German and French are drafts, and I do not speak either. If you do and you spot something strange, please let me know!

Get it free on the Connect IQ Store or check the code on GitHub.

I wrote a longer post about what translating a tiny watch app taught me on Substack: https://jame581.substack.com/p/my-coffee-app-lived-in-utc-for-six

Thank you for the coffees, they literally power this app. 😄
