Hi there! We’re Julio and Bel, the couple behind the channel "Disquetes" and "iokai Detective"! This is our crowdfunding campaign to support our productions. With it, you can help us keep doing our work and even earn some prizes specially made by us :)

Our journey so far has been pretty wild, and having your support makes all the difference! Working in advertising, we initially had a production company focused on services for other businesses. Although this field has its charm, we felt our creative freedom was very limited in that area, which took away some of the spark we always felt for audiovisual work. So, while putting together a portfolio of our projects, we realized our true passion lies in creating original content — that is, making crazy, challenging, and super creative things. From the name of our old company came our first series: "Detetive iokai," (or "iokai Detective") a fantastic story focused on Brazilian folklore, especially the lesser-known tales that are slowly fading away.

Our main goal, besides recording and sharing our culture, is to bring the fantastic world of Brazilian folklore to life! We do this seriously, even respecting the macabre tone of popular legends, using handcrafted stop-motion puppets! Yeah, we chose a tough path, but one that’s way more fun and challenging. To complement our unique style, we want to especially work with practical effects (we’ll insert the stop-motion puppets into live-action footage and more, haha) combined with a Noir aesthetic, like detective movies!

But this is just the beginning. With your help, we’ll gradually grow our content, starting with shorter, vertical format videos, then expanding into longer videos, web series, and someday even a trilogy of "Detetive iokai" films! Plus other animation projects we want to develop alongside. That’s why your support is so important to us, and we’re deeply grateful for it!
