Chris Coupland B.Sc.(Hon).  I am a Zoologist, and a passionate, ethical, wildlife photographer from Tasmania, Australia. I have the goal of creating long term, a complete and comprehensive photographic collection of all of Tasmania's Birds, Mammals, Amphibians and Reptiles.

I will always strive to be a custodian of Tasmania's environment and wildlife and educate people throughout the world, about its conservation and protection through my photography. All of the species in the state are ecologically vital, beautiful, fascinating and under appreciated. I strive to help people connect with the animals and environment of this unique island, and with that connect comes knowledge, and with the knowledge comes the power to conserve.

My images are taken in the wild of wild animals. I leave only light footprints, take only images and tell powerful visual stories! I strive to always be ethical in my conduct towards our delicate fauna, with animal welfare coming before the image.
