Community Update - May 2022

Happy May, everyone! As we move into May, nice weather that has been so transient recently will soon become the norm. With the ongoing war in Ukraine, a constant battering of the stock market, and a renewed lockdown of the world's second-largest economy in China, the National Month of Grace will hopefully live up to its ideal this year.

Steps to Consider in May and June 

1.) Mother's Day(May 8th)/Father's Day(June 19th). A day of thanks for those fortunate enough to have those who played the role of loving guardians in their  lives(thanks to those playing that role in the lives of others!). 

Amazon is likely to offer heavy discounts on e-books as well as their streaming music and tv offerings, while Groupon will have a host of offers on activities to help you celebrate these days. 

One item to wait on would be grills, as demand will keep prices high until early fall.

2.) Memorial Day(May 30th)- Memorial Day sales can bring large discounts on major home furnishings. Note that media devices will likely see deeper discounts nearer to Black Friday/Christmas.

3.) Semi-Annual Sales- Companies including Victoria's Secret, GAP, New Balance, and Brooks Brothers will offer deep discounts in June.

4.) National Hamburger Day(May 28th)/ National Doughnut Day(June 3rd.) These days are likely to bring discounted or free food at some national chains. Check around social media as these days approach and enjoy some guilt-free food!
