inflamed.community is a free, ad-free research and community resource for ankylosing spondylitis; a chronic inflammatory arthritis affecting roughly 1 in 200 people, with an average 8–10 year gap between first symptoms and diagnosis. It is not rare. It is invisible.

The platform does three things. It maps the AS research literature visually, so a non-specialist can see what's known and what isn't. It tracks new papers automatically each month and explains them in plain language. And it collects anonymous experience data from people living with the disease, so the community can see itself.

One person builds and maintains it, on evenings and weekends. There are no accounts, no logins, no ads, no premium tier, and no data is ever sold. Buying me a coffee covers running costs such as: domain, hosting, a small monthly API spend for paper summaries and funds the next thing on the build list.

If the platform is useful to you and you'd like to help keep it going, this is the only place it asks for anything. If you can't or don't want to, nothing changes. The platform stays free, and you don't get less of it.
