What I'm building

I make a free tool that turns a photo into a bead pattern you can actually follow — a grid with
color codes, a bead shopping list, and a printable PDF.

What drives me

I'd rather do a small thing properly than a big thing badly. That's the whole reason this site
does three things most tools won't: it shows no ads, it never uploads your photos, and it doesn't
make you sign up before showing you a result. Your image is converted in your own browser and
never leaves your device.

Why something free still costs money

The converter running locally means it costs me almost nothing per use. The expensive parts are
the ones you can't see:

- Going through 1,177 color cards across 9 bead brands by hand, so the 988 color codes are
actually right — and fixing them when someone tells me a Hama code is two shades off.
- Writing and checking 14 languages properly instead of machine-dumping them.
- Keeping a directory of 592 AI tools and six bead guides accurate as things change.

I do have paid plans that remove the export watermark, and they cover part of the bill. They
don't cover all of it.

What your support actually does

Two things, honestly.

One: it keeps the free tier free. No ads is a choice I'd like to keep making.

Two: it could bring back 3D. I built a feature that slices a photo into stacked, layered bead
patterns for building 3D pieces — then switched it off, because the compute cost was more than I
could carry on my own. It's still in the code. Enough support and it comes back.

If the tool saved you an evening, that's already the point.

And if something's wrong — a color code that's off, a brand that's missing, a translation that
reads badly — tell me and I'll fix it. That's genuinely as useful to me as the coffee.
