Sostieni Idea the Artist

Exploring the human heart in the intersections of history and imagination across time and cultures through music, stories, art, and anthropology. I'm driven to dig deep, to find the deepest string within a work which, when plucked, resonates with all the bittersweet triumph of the human condition, so that we can all stay deeply in touch with what moves us, and moves us forward.

Art is a conduit of compassion, and a vehicle by which progressive thought and novel ideas can be felt in the body and soul, and therefore it can bridge divides that other discourse cannot.

The capitalist world values artists less and less, and we see it draining the color from our connections. Push back with me against the devaluing of artistic and scholarly thought by contributing directly to an artist whose work you think has meaning, and matters.

All work is important, and all workers deserve a living. If you feel my work has meaning for you, moves you, entertains you, provokes introspection or expansive thought, or simply helps you get through your day, send me a dollar if you can! If you listen to my albums on streaming services that don't pay me, consider contributing here so that I get paid for my work, and can afford to make even more music for you!

Thank you! By doing this, you are rebelling against a system that devalues people's hard work, and helping us all take back our collective power! Thanks for being a hero!

with love,
