There's so much going on in our pickleball community. It seems as though there's at least a tournament (or two) every weekend. I figured providing a monthly roundup of events would be helpful to all. It certainly helps keep me straight.
February 1 - First Serve at Genesis Rock Road
This is a free event for beginners. Learn the basics of the game from rules to paddle techniques. The session will be led by Genesis Coaches David Belew and Ariana Raga. Event is 9 AM to 11 AM. Registration is through Team Reach, using group code RockRoad123.
February 1 - Beginner Pickleball Tournament at the Pickle Center (West YMCA)
This tournament is for 2.5 to 3.0 players. Cost is $20 per person. Format is round robin plus double elimination bracket. Check in and warm up begins at 8 AM. Tournament starts at 9 AM. Sign up at the West YMCA front desk or by contacting Peter Denning at (316) 942-2271.
February 8 - Cupid's Cup Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament at Goddard Sandbox
Registration fee is $60 per team. Tournament starts at 12 PM. Sign up here.

February 9 - Sweetheart Pickleball Tournament at Chicken N Pickle

February 15 - Mixed Doubles Tournament at the Pickle Center
Mixed doubles teams. Cost is $20 per player. Format is round robin pool play followed by a double elimination bracket. Contact Peter Denning or register at the West YMCA front desk.
February 15 - Cupid's Love Pickleball Tournament at TapNPaddles
Mixed doubles pickleball tournament. Format is pool play plus single elimination bracket. $40 per team for non-members; $36 per team for members. Register your team through Court Reserve.
February 15-16 - Wichita Amateur Open at Chicken N Pickle
This is happening all weekend at Chicken N Pickle. Doubles events are typically in the morning (gender on Saturday and mixed on Sunday), with singles events happening in the afternoon (could be either day, depending on size of brackets). Registration fee starts at $75 for one event, plus $55 for second event and $35 for third event. Click here to register or learn more.
February 17 - Pickleball Survivor at Goddard Sandbox
An innovative tournament format where players compete in doubles and singles events until there is one player left. Sign up or learn more about the event here.
February 22 - 50+ Mixed Doubles Tournament at the Pickle Center
Targeted towards players 50 years old and over. Mixed doubles teams. Cost is $20 per player. Format is round robin pool play followed by a double elimination bracket. Contact Peter Denning or register at the West YMCA front desk.
February 23 - Trips Team Tournament at Goddard Sandbox
Each team consists of 3 players and must have a total DUPR of 12.90 or below. Max rating for individual team member is 4.75. Accepting 4 men's teams and 4 women's teams. Registration fee is $90 per team ($30 per team member). Tournament runs from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sign up here.
