LP>TRACK: Grateful Dead, ‘From the Heart of Me/Sunshine Daydream’ (live 31/12/78)

I often speak about musical rabbit holes, and Alexis Petridis of The Guardian has just sent me down another one. Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay passed yesterday. She sang with the Grateful Dead in the seventies, and Petridis wrote a piece in which he ‘confessed’ he’s now a Deadhead, even though until this year he didn’t think they were his kind of thing. Hmm. I’d always wondered about them, too, so it was time to listen (especially as he noted they ranged across several genres including prog). Well, yes, I’m diving in. There’s so much to listen to - any advice, Deadheads? And rest in peace, Donna.
