Somewhere out on the rim, a scientist went bananas and created bananimals...

A combination of animal and banana DNA, bananimals are a curious sight. Most often found in jungle environments, they differ from their genetic cousins in a few different ways.

Banuffalo:

A muffalo-banana hybrid. They do not produce wool, but can be milked for bananimilk!

Bananallama:

A llama-banana hybrid. Does not produce wool, but can be "sheared" periodically by peeling off the skin of the creature. It's only slightly disturbing.

Bananalope:

A peaceful, non-explosive genetic cousin of the boomalope. Instead of chemfuel, it can be milked for bananimilk!

Bananabara:

A cross between capybara and banana, exclusively because it's fun to say.

Bananaconda:

This was actually an experiment on adding snake DNA to a banana, yielding mixed results.

Bananimals all yield bananimal slices, which is like meat but tastier. It gives pawns a recreation boost when eaten, but still has a chance of food poisoning when raw and rots faster than normal meat.

Bananimal peel can be gained by butchering bananimals. It's slimy and smells of old bananas. It's not great for temperature regulation and is very ugly.

Bananallama peel is a regrowing peel that can be harvested from bananallamas. Slightly better than bananimal peel but not by much.

Bananimilk is a delicious treat for colonists that taste just like banana milkshake! Fills pawn recreation, but still has a chance of food poisoning and spoils quickly.

Bananaconda egg: Simply an egg laid by a bananaconda.
