I know I used to…
I used to accept less than I deserved.
I used to settle for “almost,” for “maybe,” for “secretly,” for whatever pieces someone was willing to give me.
I convinced myself that half of someone was better than nothing at all.
Back then, I didn’t know how much it would cost me.
But I’m not that girl anymore.
I don’t share hearts.
I don’t compete.
I don’t sit quietly in the background while someone else gets the version of you I once held.
If you choose me, you choose me fully — not when it’s convenient, not when you’re lonely, not when the world is asleep.
Love isn’t something you split between two people.
Love isn’t “almost,” or “sometimes,” or “when things settle.”
And if you chose her, then you let me go.
Not because my love wasn’t strong enough… but because I finally know what I deserve.
A love that chooses me without hiding, without guilt, without halves.
So no — I don’t do half-love.
Not anymore.
Not after everything I’ve survived.
Not after I learned what it feels like to lose myself trying to hold onto someone who couldn’t give me the same.
I give my whole heart — always.
And I’m done accepting anything less in return.
