A day out with Dream Hudson Girls

Oct 22, 2023

Meet Dream Hudson girls, a group of 6 talented young girls who I had the pleasure to connect with on my latest trip in Uganda. Their founder, Hudson is an incredible woman who decided to give these girls an education and better future after finding them on the street. The eldest, Audrey was found when she was just 7 years old pumping water to help her pay her school fees. She was fostered by Hudson only to discover that Audrey had a gift of her own: dancing. Moved by her natural abilities and infectious smile, Hudson decided to use social media to show this magic and hopefully raise awareness on street talent. She found the other girls Tracy, Ayra, Emily, Dora and Manuela in a bid to continue a dance institution for girls that empowers them and helps them fight again gender based violence.

I connected with Hudson through Instagram, who saw one of my choreographies and decided to teach it to the girls. I saw the video and was so impressed, so I couldn’t wait to meet them in Kampala! Thanks to social media awareness and Buy me a Coffee, we managed to raise some funds to buy them school supplies.

I loved spending time with them so much that I also decided to organise a trip to the mall and a lunch get together.

This was all possible thanks to the genuine connection we made through our love for dance, and the support we received from fans. Dancing really helps in breaking all cultural barriers. Thank you all for supporting the children and this journey of mine in making a positive change ✨

To support the girls directly, here is the Go Fund me link : https://gofund.me/4fa1947f

Please subscribe on YouTube also to follow our journey together in Kampala!

Much Love,
