recommissioning a class 26 locomotive against all odds.
I hope you like what I’m doing on the recommission of 040 & the work done on 37042 as we await (the longest wait ever) movement of that somewhere more suitable,
This page was initially to help with 26040's fuel travelling costs but now we have the loco minutes from the house it all still helps,
I try to make it an 'open book' approach on all my loco activity & share the experiences I've been so privileged to experience, mainly on fb & annually on my YouTube 'Christmas Special' under 'Iainf'.
Jeffray & I appreciate the support we've received to date & I realise that this loco brings a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.

It really has been a case of '26040 lives again' & as I edit this in March '26 I see reference to try to start 37042 which we did in Sept '24
