I have a PhD in Machine Learning from UT Austin, and I am an entrepreneur in AI.
I came up with the Theory of Human Convergence around 2005-6; inspired by the same source that Ray Kurzweil was inspired by for his theory of the Technological Singularity.
Fortunately for me, I was thinking about the Galaxy, and did not read his book when it came out (it came out a bit after my discovery so we came up with similar ideas independently).
Because of that, the theory of Human (and Alien) Convergence has two major differences than Ray's Singularity theory. (1) it spans across billions of planets not just one planet Earth, (2) it shows that things DO NOT go to infinity but Converge quickly to an extremely advanced, but more importantly, a finite level.
It turns out things almost never go to infinity in nature, as far as we know; e.g. Physics the infinite density of the Black Hole is not actually infinite; the equations just fail. And at small scale there is the Plank's constant - space and time do not break down to infinitely small size. Similarly, things cannot travel very fast, and are limited to the relatively slow speed of light that makes communications, even with Astronauts on the Moon, which is a 1 week journey from Earth a bit tedious, and Geostationary satellite communications slow.
Once you understand this theory, a lot more things become possible to predict! And a lot more things you can change in your life right now, to actually be able to journey YOURSELF into the wonderful future, and do YOUR PART to make sure we don't destroy ourselves and our civilization, before this Convergence finishes completely and things become stable again.
Want to know what's your future? Want to get deeper into AI tech, Space tech, Longevity tech.
